My Easy Garlic Parmesan Wings are crazy good and will put you in a food coma! These wings were crispy and flavorful just on their own. But when I tossed them in my homemade garlic parm sauce, I had to remind myself that I couldn’t eat them all. Y’all better come on and get one of these wings before I end up eating them all!
MAKE THEM BAKED OR Deep Fried!
These wings are so easy and delicious! But, I know that not everyone has an air fryer. Baking or Deep Frying these wings requires a slightly different set of directions, but the flavor is just the same! Take a look below for steps to make these wings baked or deep-fried.
Baked Wing Option:
Remove the flour, cornstarch, and frying oil from the recipe.
Heat the oven to 425°F.
Add 1 tbsp of baking powder to the seasoning mix. Toss the wings in the seasoning. The baking powder will help to create crispy wings.
Bake on a ½ sheet tray with a wire rack sprayed with non-stick spray. Bake or air-fry until crispy and fully cooked (about 20 - 25 minutes).
Turn the wings occasionally to maximize their crispiness.
Toss the wings in the sauce, garnish, and enjoy!
Deep-Fried Wing Option:
Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavily weighted pot on medium-high heat.
Toss the wings in oil and the seasoning mix.
When the oil is ready to use (350 – 360°F), fry the wings in batches until crispy.
Toss the wings in the heated sauce. Make sure they are fully coated in sauce. Drizzle with extra seasoning, if desired. Serve and enjoy!
Easy Garlic Parmesan Wings Ingredients:
Okay now, let’s talk ingredients! These ingredients are very easy to find and use! You probably have a majority of them already in your pantry.
Chicken Wings: You can either buy the wings whole and cut them yourself, or buy the party wings pre-cut. It is solely up to you. If you decide to buy frozen wings, make sure that they are fully thawed and dried before seasoning.
Seasoning Mix: You always should season both your chicken before you cook it! I used a basic seasoning mix of kosher salt, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and ground black pepper.
Unsalted Butter: The butter helps the seasoning to stick to the wings while adding some richness to the sauce. You can use salted butter, but be mindful that the sauce is slightly higher in salt.
Heavy Cream: I prefer to cook my garlic parmesan sauce instead of making it with mayonnaise. I added about 1/4 cup of heavy cream to add that creamy factor and some richness. This also helps to melt the grated parmesan into the sauce.
Minced Garlic: You can’t have garlic parmesan wings without GARLIC. Fresh is always better for a recipe like this. I used about 2 tbsp total for the sauce.
Ground Black Pepper: To help balance out some of the salt content in this dish, I added some ground black pepper. This is totally optional, but I do highly suggest adding it in.
Parmesan Cheese: This is where the magic happens! I used grated parmesan for the sauce and shredded parmesan for the garnish. You don’t want to skimp out and buy cheap cheese. Trust me, you’ll be able to taste the difference!
